Rapid’s support of the Federation of Disability Sports Organisations

Rapid is a proud partner of the FDSO, which brings greater sporting opportunities for people with disabilities in Yorkshire.
The FDSO works with many partners to coordinate activity, including Sport England and the English Federation of Disability Sport. Together, they create more sports and recreational facilities and the chance for people with disabilities to have a say in how sport is planned and delivered.
The Federation is a voluntary organisation, run by members from four regional Disability
Sports Organisations: the Blind Sport Advisory Group, Disport, Yorkshire Deaf Sports Council and Disability Sport Events.  Together, they produce dozens of sporting events across Yorkshire, including athletics, rugby, swimming and cricket tournaments.
Martin Ward, Commercial Manager with Rapid, said: “We’re big supporters of both grass roots sports and major league professional sports. It’s wonderful to play a part in helping the FDSO achieve its aims. The work they do is admirable and deserves all the support that businesses and individuals can give. Without the support of businesses and all those wonderful volunteers, these sporting events and facilities wouldn’t happen.”
